--SITE RULES--
1 - Respect: This is the universal rule. Most, if not all of you, should at least be acquainted with this rule. Respect basically means that you do not discriminate on other people's backgrounds, you may not insult them, and you must treat them fairly. Any act of disrespect is not and will never be tolerated. REMEMBER - this is the world-wide web, meaning that all kinds of people, with different backgrounds, will be visiting and will be RolePlaying on this site. If you cannot be open-minded enough, then please leave now rather than creating drama later.2 - No spam/flooding and trolls allowed:This is when you would post multiple meaningless and/or offending posts either directed to the site as a general or to a specific member. Spam and flooding punishments will not be as harsh as our punishment to trolls, but the punishments will still be harsh nonetheless. So be warned. 3 - PG-13:This is a PG-13 site and it will stay that way, since Digimon was franchised towards younger children, it is inevitable that there will be people around the age of 13 and younger. Violence, profanity, language, and drug use are allowed. But posts, images, videos, etc. containing over-excessive gore, sexual activities and nudity, and over-excessive use of swear words are not allowed. These are the limits: this is Digimon, so there will be violence, but do not detail the tearing of meat and flesh, and all those. Sexual activities such as holding hands, hugs, and kisses are fine, but nothing more than that. Swear words are fine, but only on occasion, so limit your use of swear words to a minimum. If anyone steps out of these boundaries, then the posts containing said offenses will be deleted on the spot. 4 - No drama:This is the second most important rule of the site, right below Respect. All off-site drama issues must never be taken on-site. If you have a problem with a member or members, do not take it out publicly, keep it in the PMs (or Private Messages). Other members that are not involved do not want to hear about it, and do not want to partake in it, so please take it somewhere else. If abuse or harassment occurs, then please contact a staff member and punishments will be dealt accordingly. 5 - Listen to staff:Staff members are here to keep things fair and to keep them going, so all matters and issues that are ongoing will be resolved by staff, and they will have the final say on matters. If you have a problem with a member or an issue with the site, please don't try to solve it on your own or just let it be, take it to staff and we will help as best as we can. If you find a staff member abusing their power (which is very highly unlikely), then please report to a higher-up with evidence. 6 - Activity:Our site might be friendly and a great place to talk and meet people, but this is still a RolePlaying site. So try to be active on the site as well. 7 - Multiple characters: We don't restrict multiple characters here, in fact, we would love to see more characters come into play. But there are just a few rules that we would like to enforce: - You may not have two or more of your characters in the same thread. If you would like to create a sub-plot with two of your characters, and you really need your characters to be in the same thread, then we will deduct your (the characters in the thread) experience points for each post where you have multiple characters in the same thread.
- If you would like to create multiple characters, then please create multiple accounts for them as well. To make it less confusing, the system here is that there can only be one character for each account.

--ROLEPLAYING RULES--
1 - Character Applications & Attack techniques: To RolePlay here, you will need to create a character application. You must do this before you RolePlay, or we will take away your achieved experience points. This is to show that you have thought out your character well enough to be RolePlaying with them, and so that other people would know exactly who they are. The board for completed profiles, and the rules and templates for character applications, can be found [ HERE]. And another thing, profiles are created so all your characters' descriptions are ready for other people to reference to. Custom attacks are allowed, yes, but attacks that you did not put in your character profiles cannot be used in any way. Attacks that you would like to put in your character profile will need to be posted in the Edits board and approved by staff members. 2 - Things you may not do with other people's characters: If anyone were to break the rules in the list below, then - God-mod: Your character cannot be invincible, super-powerful, and go beyond their limits in any way. Both humans and Digimon are not invincible, super-powerful, and they cannot go beyond their limits. Humans are humans, we are mortal and we get hurt easily. The same goes for Digimon, they might have a thicker skin and have more strength than we do, but they are not invincible nor super-powerful.
- Metagaming: Your character cannot receive information without an explanation and they cannot have knowledge that they do not know In-Character.
- Powergaming: You cannot take control of other people's characters, your character's attacks cannot always successfully hit your opponents and your character cannot evade all the attacks that are headed towards them. You may only control your own character(s) and you have to be realistic with them.
- Killing or de-limbing: Killing other people's characters, as well as de-limbing, will seriously affect on their story and if they would be able to RolePlay again. Therefore, you may only kill or de-limb if you have consent from the other player.
3 - Player VS Player: This is when you battle against another player (or players). When battling PVP, there might be a chance of a disagreement, so if a problem does occur, take it to staff, and they would have a final say on the matter. 4 - NPC battles: This is when you request a Game Master (or another staff member, if they are not too busy) to play an NPC for you. It can be a friendly NPC, where you don't have to fight them, or it can be one where you fight against them. Be it for a subplot for your character or just for fun. However, there are rules for NPCs: - You may not request an NPC with a lower level than your Digimon (unless it is for a friendly purpose, but if the situation would turn into a battle, then the NPC will Digivolve into the appropriate level). This is so that we can keep the battles fair at all times.
- Be aware that NPCs can win battles. NPCs or not, they are still strong and able Digimons, the same as the others.
- The rules of killing and de-limbing is the same for NPCs. You will need to ask the staff member that is NPCing for permission if you would like to kill or de-limb the NPC. And be aware that the NPC might just as well kill or de-limb your character as well, of course, with your permission.
The board where you can request NPCs is [ HERE] 5 - Thread Limits:One of the rules that might tick the players off here is that we do not allow liquid time in the site. Meaning that all characters can only be in one thread of each kind at a time. However, we have different kinds of threads in this site: - IC Thread: This is your normal In-Character thread. Your character can only be involved in one at a time.
- Participating in a Request: A short summary about Requests is shown below.
- Hosting a Request: Requests are the main source on obtaining Bits. The creator of the Request can choose if they would like to use their own character as the host or an NPC created just for the Request.
There are advantages and disadvantages if you choose your character or an NPC. If you choose your own character, then you can use the Request to develop your character's own subplot, but you will have to pay with your own Bits. But if you choose to create an NPC, then you don't have to pay with your own hard earned Bits (Bits will be supplied out of thin air, since they are NPCs, after all), but you cannot involve nor mention your character in the Request.
For more information about Requests, click [HERE]. Your character can only be involved in one at a time, however, you can host and participate in other Requests at the same time.
6 - Posting minimum & posting time: On our site, there is a posting minimum so that we can ensure fairness so that you will not write one-liners just for the experience points. Instead, normal posts will have a requirement of two paragraphs, which consists of five coherent sentences, and not choppy and short ones. There is also a time limit for posting in the site. This is for the sake that threads won't die and for the sake of not getting your fellow RolePlayers angry. If it is your turn to post in a thread, and you don't after 4 (four) days, then they may skip you. Be wary and remember this. If it is less than exactly 96 hours, then they are not allowed to skip you. Should you not be able to post in that time, then please either send a Personal Message to the people involved or you can post a message in the Welcomes & Farewells board (link [ HERE]) to say that you need to go for a duration of time. 7 - No canons: This is an AU site, an alternate universe site. Which means that nothing that happened in the games, anime, or manga will be known in this site, therefore, you cannot mention or reference anything that has happened officially, in the games, anime, or manga, or canon. Anything that references to the canons will either be deleted or the users will be asked to modify their posts/threads. REMEMBER: all site rules are also carried over to the RolePlaying rules, so you must abide to both sections of rules when RolePlaying.[/blockquote]

--CHAT BOX RULES--
REMEMBER: all site rules are also carried over to the Chat Box rules, so you must abide to both sections of rules when you are chatting in the Chat Box.Tips of the Chat Box: The chat box is a very friendly place where everyone can have fun when they have nothing to post on DT. The chat box, usually shorted to C-Box, is nothing that hard to comprehend as well, but here are a few tips to get you started: - Since Chatango is not connected to the site, you will need to create new accounts for Chatango itself. This is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended that you do so so we know that you are who you are, and so we know that you are not an impostor.
- Speaking of accounts, it is also recommended, but also not mandatory, that you can create an account related to your username on the site, so we can identify who you play on DT. This is not mandatory, but it is recommended.
- It's not as if that staff are only for the site as well. There are C-Box moderators that can delete posts and ban users from chatting in the C-Box. All staff members are C-Box moderators, so if you have broken the rule(s), and if the staff find your actions to be highly offensive, then the punishment can be carried over to your account on the site. So be warned.
1 - No spamming/flooding: Chatting is nice, yes, but repeating the same message repeatedly in a short period of time is annoying, and Chatango might ban you for 15 minutes for spamming. All spams and floods will be deleted, and you will be warned. If you were to ignore this warning and continue to spam, then your Chatango account in the C-Box will be banned for a week. 2 - No advertising: Advertising site related items, such as an IC thread or a Request where you are looking for people to join, is fine to be mentioned in the C-Box. But other sites and unrelated items are not allowed to be advertised in the C-Box, we have a board for that, the link is [ Here]. You will be warned if you fail to follow the above rule. If you still fail to follow even after the warning, then your Chatango account will be banned from the C-Box for a week (or your IP address, if you are an anonymous user). 3 - Keep it PG-13: As said before, this site as a whole is PG-13 because the Digimon franchise is directed at kids, and it's not surprising if a kid under the age of 13 actually comes to RolePlay. And to ensure that everyone of all ages can come to RolePlay, please do not display excessive swearing, profanity, and/or violence. This goes to what you say in the C-Box and what you post, such as images, videos, etc. This also goes to your Chatango profile. Please make sure that your profile is also set to PG-13. And be aware that you can get a warning if you fail to do the above. If you still fail to abide the above rule, then we will apply a one week ban to your Chatango account in the C-Box. 4 - No baiting, flaming, cyber-bullying, and trolling: Do not insult people. Never. This is not and never will be tolerated, and your Chatango account in the C-Box will be banned for a week, or even months. If it was highly offending, then a punishment may be inflicted to your account on the site as well. If you are being being harassed, then please contact a staff member about it and we will take care of said offender. 5 - Avoid fighting and drama:Try to not get into fights with other members, as it will only lead into drama which is very much unneeded on our site. Staff members, and even normal members, have the right to tell both parties to break it up or bring it to PMs, because we do not want to see them, nor do we want them to turn into a huge problem that can affect the site as a whole. If this problem turns into harassment, then please contact a staff member and all punishments needed will be applied. [/blockquote]

--PUNISHMENTS--
Site punishments: We have three kinds of site punishments, each with their own levels: - Reminders: What the name implies. This is just a simple reminder of the rules, nothing more. Maybe just a shout in the C-Box not to do this or that again, or a PM to your account telling you not to break the rule again. But even if these reminders are nothing more than reminders, if ignored, then it will lead to a higher level of punishment.
- Warnings: These are those red bars that will appear below your names in your profiles. There will be three warnings, the first will be 30%, the second will be 60%, and the third will be 90%. Once the highest level of warnings are reached, then comes the banning stage.
- Permanent Banning: After all the reminders and all the warnings have been reached, then you will be permanently banned from the site and the C-Box as well. There are no second chances, we have already given you three with the warning system, more than enough to redeem yourself during that time.
Chat Box punishments: We have two kinds of C-Box punishments, since the kind of punishments on Chatango doesn't really vary much. But to compensate for this, we can carry over your punishments to your profile on the site, give you warnings there, and then ban you permanently there as well, if the offense that you did is that severe to make us do so. But for the C-Box, these are the types of punishments we can apply: - Reminders: The concept of this punishment is the same as the one in the site punishments section. Staff members would just tell you not to repeat what you did, through the C-Box or the PMs, whichever one they deem reasonable. If ignored, however, it will result in bans of your Chatango account in the C-Box.
- Bans: After three reminders and if you still continue to do the same offense, then you will be banned for a week from the C-Box. If, after your ban, you continue to do the same offense, then we will ban you for one month. If you continue to do the same offense even after that ban, then we will permanently ban you from the C-Box.
